Asian Paints

Asian Paints aims to be the most innovative company and become a market leader. They conducted an extensive research and realised that customers had apprehensions towards purchasing paints offline without knowing the look and feel of their environment. Hence Asian Paints decided to create a device-agnostic app which can give its customers a virtual experience of the newly decorated environment. They approached Valtech to replace their existing 2D paint visualisation tool with an engaging and interactive, 3D paint visualisation app.

With an aspiration to grow as an innovative paint company, Asian Paints engaged with Valtech to roll out their strategies, to support their future business model. In line with this, Valtech built a next generation app on iOS which would allow them to achieve a better user experience across various channels and devices. We also integrated home décor products through open architecture, where Asian Paints' colour consultants and customers can pick and choose different products to design their environment. 

The primary objective behind the app is to help customers' visualise decorating their homes through the use of various colour combinations, patterns, décor products and a variety of images either from the online library or the device gallery. The application generates accurate visualisation/rendering of the products on the walls, ceilings of the room or any other plain surface of the base image. The application also has the ability to import, tweak, process and view as well as export and save the final visualisation. We also developed 'iStyle' and 'Do It Yourself' app which works similarly like the iPad visualizer except that the prospects themselves can visually customise their environment. This could be leveraged both as a B2B and B2C app. Valtech is currently working on 5 other new projects which are interactive and educative.

iPad visualizer was a hit in the market and has helped Asian Paints brand itself better. There was a significant increase in the app users. Valtech helped Asian Paints deliver an exceptional visual experience to its customers and decrease their decision-making time. The conversion rate has also increased and continues to grow.
