Valtech is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Demand Generation team. Context to the role & the team

The role is to be the initial and first point of contact for our new business efforts. Kick starting the new business cycle by being consultative in approach, using insight and intelligence to make informed and value-based introductions and approaches towards prospective accounts and following up on inbound leads who are enterprise in scale and, ultimately, decision making in authority.

A day in the life of a Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager, you will primarily focus on planning and executing demand generation activities, engaging with prospects, and driving lead generation. On a daily basis, you will:

  • Interpret target account insights into strategic propositions with a consultative approach, maintaining a creative approach to increase visibility and engagement.
  • Collaborate with marketing and European teams to develop and implement integrated account-based plans to drive awareness and lead generation against priority prospect accounts, verticals or segments.
  • Continuously gather and apply insights, capitalizing on global marketing initiatives and adjusting strategies using available tools and technology.
  • Engage with senior decision-makers and influencers to build and manage a solid lead, prospect account, and opportunity pipeline, driving leads through the funnel and beginning the business cycle.
  • Be the first point of contact for inbound opportunities: providing initial qualification, responding in a timely and strategic manor and passing to one of our Business Development Directors to further qualify. Consulting with vertical and service leads, and supporting the conversion of leads by maintaining momentum and priorities.

    You and the role

    You are self-driven, have natural and empathic team qualities, and are prepared to proactively interface with departments from across the European business to gather support when required - leaving no stone unturned, with an entrepreneurial spirit and an always-on hunter mentality.

    We would love if you have

    • 3+ years’ experience in a similar position, preferably within an agency environment.
    • An entrepreneurial spirit and an innovative mindset. You are ready to help shape the best way to get things done.
    • A “We before Me” mindset with experience in successfully collaborating with people across different countries, cultures, crafts, personalities and backgrounds with respect, inclusion and integrity.
    • A passion for people, business development, technology; curiousity about new trends; and interest in promoting an environment where ideas flow and expertise are shared.
    • Commitment to our shared growth agenda and ready to be accountable for the part you will play. Energetic mindset and "get things done" attitude!

    You are already based in Denmark or Sweden and are able to come to one of our offices in Aarhus, Copenhagen, Gothenburg or Stockholm on a regular basis (multiple times a week). You will also be expected to travel to our Nordic offices approx. once a month.

    Fluency in Danish or Swedish is not a strict requirement for this role but will be considered as a plus. Fluency in business English is essential to succeed in this role.
