The opportunity
As a Data Architect at Valtech, you'll be at the forefront of designing, deploying, and managing data architecture for our own organization. You'll define how data is stored, consumed, and integrated across various data entities and IT systems, aligning it with business objectives and key results (OKRs). You'll closely collaborate with senior business stakeholders to solve business problems through data systems and outcomes.
The ideal candidate’s skills
/ Strong communication skills, including the ability to present to senior stakeholders.
/ Experience with diverse data types: tabular, connected, time-series, geospatial, image, etc.
/ Proficiency in various database types (relational, document, graph, columnar, key-value).
/ Familiarity with Data Architecture Best Practices and data processing capabilities in Azure, AWS, and GCP.
/ Experience with business intelligence/analytics products, data visualization frameworks, data analysis, and data modelling.
/ Proficiency in working with cloud platforms and relevant PaaS/SaaS offerings.
/ Understanding of data integration technologies, distributed computing, and information security.
/ Bonus: Programming experience in languages like Java or Python.
/ A commitment to agile principles, even if you don't exclusively come from an agile background.
