A day in the life of a SFCC Backend Lead Developer (all genders)

You'll join the digital team of a major luxury player, based in Paris and present internationally. Based on 2 sites (France and India), the team is in charge of e-commerce applications with a global reach (institutional sites and e-commerce).

As a SFCC Backend Lead Developer (all genders), you fulfill an essential role. You work as a team member on the continuous improvement, new developments and maintenance of our solutions. You take charge of all or part of the integration of the client's projects by developing on an e-commerce, CMS, DAM, Analytics platform supported by SFCC.

In addition, you will:

  • Perform code analyses and develop new features on platform modules or patches;
  • Actively participate in application developments;
  • Participate in code reviews;
  • Implement SFCC best development practices within the project;
  • Analyze and handle incidents;
  • Write technical test notebooks around the integration platform;
  • Participate in the integration acceptance test of scalable batches;
  • Benchmark new tools, best practices and tech environment to match the roadmap;
  • Build a community around you (peer review, community animation, meetup/engineering IO preparation, design and architecture review, etc.).

You and the role

You are someone with +8 years of experience in Java/JEE development and SFCC. Front-end development also arouses your interest. You are a hands-on profile who can lead by example, coach, develop expertise of other profiles in the field, communicate to the team and the client.

We would love if you have:

  • Knowledge of SFCC: Demandware, SFCC 10.x, etc.;
  • Automated testing and performance testing;
  • Java application profiling;
  • System tuning;
  • Code optimization;

You're enthusiastic about working on subjects in real time in a luxury and e-commerce environment. You're fluent in English, both written and spoken (working language). French is a great plus. A we-before-me mentality, always keen to celebrating successes together.
