The opportunity
As the VP Technical Security Officer (Digital Security) your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety, integrity, and confidentiality of our digital delivery assets, data, and overall digital delivery infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in safeguarding our business from cyber threats and ensuring compliance with relevant data protection regulations. This is a complex multi-facing role encompassing three critical areas of focus within our digital enterprise business. You will be responsible for driving management alignment, leading security integration efforts, and spearheading a comprehensive security training and security skill enhancement program. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the highest level of security for our clients and operations.
We are a complex organisation, with offices globally delivering services to a diverse range of clients. We design, build and support many technologies for these clients which makes us a unique challenge in defining our ideal state, as it is often influenced by our clients standards, requirements and tech stacks.
The ideal candidate’s skills
/ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
/ Proven experience in senior leadership roles related to digital security, with a track record of successfully driving security initiatives in complex environments.t
/ Strong technical background and expertise in various security domains, such as network security, application security, cloud security, and data protection.
/ Ideally have experience of working in a consulting or services based organisation, where the focus is on delivering solutions for external clients, across a diverse range of technologies, including some of our strategic partners, I.e. Adobe, Sitecore, Oltimizely, Salesforce, Contentstack, Commercetools, front-end, back-end, and microservices. We are not a product company and so have a very broad range of technologies we support for our clients.
/ Active contributor to OWASP and OpenSSF initiatives, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and industry best practices.
/ Excellent written and verbal English communication, presentation and influencing skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels of the organization, globally, regionally, and locally.
/ Ability and proven experience to develop and deliver effective technical security training programs for delivery teams for all phases of the SDLC.
/ Experience in analyzing security incidents, responding to cyber threats, and implementing remediation actions.
/ Demonstrated ability to build and lead diverse distributed teams, promoting a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
/ Strong knowledge of relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards, and frameworks (especially in ISO 27001/27002, GDPR, PCI DSS, HIPAA) and experience with security governance and compliance programs.
/ Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PCI ISA, CHFI or CISA are a plus.
/ Proficiency in conducting ethical hacking, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate security risks would be a plus.
The Role
You will be at the forefront of driving a robust security culture within across our business, protecting our assets, clients, and reputation from potential threats. Your leadership, technical expertise, and trainings will be crucial in ensuring that security remains a top priority across all aspects of our delivery organization. You will:
/ Act as a subject matter expert on digital security matters, providing guidance and support to the executive leadership team.
/ Lead a cross-functional team of technical specialists from various techniques and regions to collaborate on defining and implementing unified security standards and best practices.
/ Drive the Security by Design approach, integrating security considerations seamlessly into the engineering and development projects.
/ Collaborate with Sales and Client Delivery managers to articulate the significance of security to clients and ensure they align with the required security standards for their projects.
/ Work closely with the Marketing and Communication teams to effectively communicate security initiatives and their benefits to internal and external stakeholders.
/ Establish comprehensive security training and skill development programs that fosters a security-conscious culture throughout the organization.
/ Contribute to the design and implementation of secure IT development infrastructure, networks, and applications making sure security best practices are applied.
/ Conduct security assessments, risk assessments, and penetration tests to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and identify potential weaknesses, recommend remedy actions.
/ Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
/ Contribute to the CSIRT team in the creation of detailed reports of security incidents, their impact, and the actions taken for future reference and compliance.
/ Proactively seek ways to enhance the organization's security posture through the implementation of new technologies, methodologies, and security best practices.
