The ideal candidate's skills
You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our microservice architecture, focusing on backend testing to deliver top-notch products to our customers. You will work closely with development teams to design, implement, and maintain automation tests, ensuring the integrity and performance of our REST APIs.
Requirements:
/ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
/ 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or at least 2+ with a focus on automation testing.
/ Strong experience in backend testing of microservice architecture.
/ Proficient in writing automated tests with Java and RestAssured.
/ In-depth knowledge of REST APIs and web services testing.
/ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
/ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
/ Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Good to Have:
/ Experience with load and performance testing.
/ Familiarity with other programming languages and testing tools.
/ Experience in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
The Opportunity
/ Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and RestAssured.
/ Execute automated test suites, analyze test results, and report defects.
/ Collaborate with development teams to understand product requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
/ Conduct backend testing of our microservice architecture to ensure system reliability and performance.
/ Participate in code and design reviews to maintain code quality.
/ Work closely with other QA engineers to share knowledge and improve team processes.
/ Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior QA engineers.
/ Continuously improve automation framework and tools.
