The Role:
As a Senior Front-End Developer at Valtech you will be working as part of multi-discipline agile team to build and deliver best in class, customer facing digital solutions that are used by millions of people daily.
You will be a critical part of the customer delivery and will have a clear voice as part of the delivery team. We are looking for someone to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders who is happy to take ownership of front-end standards and leverage their skills to help solve front-end problems. Someone who is happy to mentor, innovate and advise on options for continuous improvement.
Our preferred candidate:
You will be a Front-End specialist, passionate about technology. You will be an advocate for clean code and have extensive experience working across the Front-End of complex, highly functional, customer facing solutions.
The sort of person who is right for the role isn’t definable by the tools or libraries they use – they will have a portfolio of experience with all the latest tech, but they can also absorb the appropriate new technologies at the right time. We adapt our stack for the projects we work on, and you will need to be able to move with the times and absorb the appropriate technologies at the right time.
We are looking for someone with a maker mentality, who wants to join a company full of diverse, intelligent, and talented people. Someone who wants to shake things up and fill their days with problem-solving, innovation and phenomenal client projects.
Essential Expertise:
Expert in JavaScript and front-end development (JavaScript/ React / Redux / Vue / Node / Typescript /Responsive web design / HTML5/CSS/SASS/).
· Any experience of creating and maintaining custom Contentful applications (NodeJS / Typescript / React) would be very beneficial.
· Content modelling and content creation (ideally using Contentful)
· Gitlab, CI/CD Pipelines.
· Passion for innovation and writing quality, elegant, clean code.
· Able to thrive in an Agile environment with a genuinely an agile mindset.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide technical leadership.
· Happy to mentor other developers, helping with coding, troubleshooting and problem solving.
· Able to work hand in hand with Creative and UX Designers
