Recognizing the Need to Evolve

P&G

P&G had a platform that was failing to meet the needs of both end consumers and internal clients. Their system was slow to update, made the process of adding content difficult, and was rife with bugs that led to an elevated number of helpdesk requests.

With an eye toward establishing a deeper and lasting connection with consumers, P&G needed to deploy an adaptable, easy-to-use platform that boosted engagement and autonomy across 13 markets. To meet these needs, they turned to Valtech for help, and one of the first things we realized was that their chosen platform (situated as it was on Sitecore) wasn’t being used to its fullest capabilities.

The Forward-Looking JoltX Platform

P&G

Using the latest technology including Sitecore XP, Sitecore Java Script Services 15.0.1 and based on a Sitecore-first React approach, we partnered with P&G to create the JoltX platform. JoltX gives local markets the ability to update, create and publish content in real-time or on-demand with a new publishing service. It also offers the possibility to better link branded and non-branded content for a holistic consumer experience. Users have witnessed higher performance, and an improvement in image quality, data integration and mobile adaptability. Interaction rates, satisfaction levels and market buy-in have progressed as well.

For this project, managing expectations was crucial. Valtech was able to secure the legacy platform while optimizing the customer experience by technical improvements all while offering stability to P&G’s customers and internal clients. As a result of taking the new JoltX platform live, there has been a 120% increase in consumer conversions. Speed and performance have improved by over 400% and 200%, respectively. Network auto-scaling has mitigated any negative impact to the user experience during peak campaign times. JoltX’s stability also has reduced incidents and increased uptime.

Thousands of customers use JoltX to learn about P&G brands, share opinions and receive purchase incentives, helping the company drive product trials. By building a closer relationship with its consumer base, P&G has been able to develop a deeper understanding of their needs and has been able to respond accordingly. This alone goes a long way towards future-proofing their platform. With the ability to adapt quickly to changing customer behavior and needs, P&G is now ready to tackle any future disruption that might come along. In short, the benefits of this transformation are both immediately visible and will continue to scale in the future.
