Visit from Chalmers University of Technology
With this talk, Oskar Rexfelt and Anneli Selvefors from Chalmers University of Technology will present their research on how to design for circularity with a user perspective. They will highlight key insights from their research and introduce the Use2Use design toolkit. The toolkit includes five unique tools that can aid designers to develop product and service concepts that make circular consumption processes more preferable for people.
Date: November 18th
Time: 16.00 - 17.00

Oskar Rexfelt, PhD
Oskar Rexfelt’s research concerns the relation between humans and technology, more precisely the relation between users and technological solutions. His focus is on developing, applying and evaluating methods and processes that improve the understanding of this relation, in order to elicit data that are helpful during development work. He is particularly interested in people’s requirements on services and pre-used products.
Anneli Selvefors, PhD
Anneli Selvefors explores design opportunities for enabling people to live a sustainable everyday life. Her research addresses sustainable consumption in a wide sense and opportunities for transitioning to a circular economy. She specifically explores how product circularity can be tackled from a use(-r) perspective and what challenges and opportunities circularity entails for design. Moreover, she also addresses how products, services and systems can be designed to enable and mediate less resource-intensive everyday activities.
