Re-think and re-fuel your organization’s flow inspired by forward-thinking peers and experts!
The Organizational Flow-event was hosted by Valtech's Business Transformation team together with Contentful and commercetools. During the reflection we tried the hypothesis that every company is now turning into a software company and face ever-changing customer demands. This means that flow in software development impacts every aspect of the business and hence key challenges for leaders ought to be improving team dynamics and delivery flow to help their IT teams meet demands.
To elaborate on that, and to understand our client’s view, we gathered our audience: a selected group of technology leaders and other leaders who are engaged in a digitalization journey to share insights, thoughts, and experiences. Given the energy they brought, from the first beehive exercise, through breakout sessions and dinner conversations, we understood there was a lot more to be said and discussed, so a follow-up is yet to come.
Team Topologies
Valtech, Contentful and commercetools partnered with Matthew Skelton, the award-winning author of Team Topologies: organizing business and technology teams for fast flow, to discuss the key ideas around organisation dynamics and technology teams for fast flow. Matthew Skelton guided us through the essence of his book and elaborated on the good questions from the audience that gave some new insights you don’t get from reading the book.
Breakout sessions
To catch the audience’s reflections on the session and understand if there were any ideas, problems that we could help them articulate and then help them out with as business opportunities. We are very fond of the Open Space Technology format and tried a version with the predefined topics: Devops at scale, Business agility, From legacy to fast moving tech and Commerce flow
