Client Partner - Industrial 

We are looking for a highly experienced Client Partner to help unlock and drive client growth across the DACH region. 

About the role 

As a Client Partner at Valtech you will be the senior leader across a multi-million portfolio. It will be your responsibility to develop and nurture our most senior-level key client relationships, and it will be you who works in close collaboration with a dedicated delivery team to deliver fantastic work and own the longer-term strategic direction, planning and revenue growth of your accounts. Bonus points if you've done this within the Industrial industry and know the landscape and specific nuances of this highly regulated industry well. 

As their trusted advisor, you’ll work closely with executive clients providing them with true digital leadership, in turn driving opportunities for new business from within. You’ll inspire client teams in your capacity as their strategic partner, and you’ll motivate internal teams to develop and consistently over-deliver. You will be adept at interpreting and adding value to new client briefs, always thinking about the longer-term ambition and objectives of your clients and their business, engaging with all teams and disciplines to deliver the best work possible.

 

What to expect 

  • In your role as a Client Partner at Valtech you can expect to build and nurture ongoing relationships with both our clients at executive level as well as your peers across the organisation. You will be actively seeking out and developing growth opportunities within your client organisations to bring in our broader specialisms and you’ll be excited about driving our exciting offering. 
  • You will bring your strategic thinking and considered opinions and recommendations whilst being respectful of others. You’ll challenge thinking and won’t accept the status quo to ensure the right outcome.  
  • You are accountable for the commercials across your account portfolio - working with your peers and Portfolio Director to ensure account profitability and accurate forecasting. You’ll consistently track performance against annual targets and quickly identifying potential areas for account development. 
  • You will own and lead the account strategy planning across your client portfolio – building on your in-depth knowledge of your clients and their businesses to identify the right areas of focus and working collaboratively with subject matter experts and senior stakeholders across the business to develop and implement the strategic vision for your accounts. 
  • A key focus of your role will be on the longer-term development and growth of your accounts. You’ll be tasked with leading on business development opportunities across your account portfolio. You will develop, own and present plans and proposals that will add more value for our clients and drive additional revenue for Valtech. 
  • You will also support on net new business proposals occasionally working closely with the new business team and the practice leads to input into client pitches and proposals. 
  • Importantly, you will be a team player that genuinely cares about what they do and the people they do it with. 

  

About you 

The successful candidate will have substantial experience working within a digital transformation/technology consultancy, partnering with enterprise size organisations. You will be a natural relationship-builder, confident with selling and managing projects across the digital technology spectrum.   

 

Strategic Relationship Management 

  • Develop deep, trust-based relationships with senior client stakeholders. 
  • Build collaborative and trusting relationships internally across the organisation. Being visible and attentive. 
  • Understand the client’s business challenges, needs, and goals to deliver tailored solutions. 
  • Act as the main point of contact, ensuring open and effective communication between the clients and Valtech. 

 

Leadership capability 

  • Offer clear and concise strategic guidance both internally and externally backed up by experience and rigour. 
  • Responsible for driving the strategic growth of your accounts – creating and implementing account plans, strategically identifying new growth opportunities, and delivering compelling proposals that help drive value for our clients and revenue for the agency. 

  • Working with senior teams across the business, to ensure alignment on your Account Plans, to be the figurehead for your accounts and to ensure that the team are all working together towards the same goals

  • Competent in financial planning and forecasting to ensure client profitability   

 

Attention to details and an eye for quality 

  • You know what good looks like, and you can back up your opinions with robust rationale and experience 
  • You are thorough and value attention to details but are still able to work at pace when needed 

 
Compelling Communicator & presenter 

  • Excellent listening skills and the ability to adapt your communication style to suit different audiences when needed 
  • Engaging communicator who can break down and understand technically complex topics to a wide audience 
  • You will be a strong presenter who can seamlessly sell strategic ideas and solutions
