The awards highlight the power of collaboration when creating a digital experience that matches luxury travelers’ expectations for white-glove service.
Valtech, the experience innovation company, gained wide industry recognition in 2023 for its work with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, taking home prestigious accolades at the Hotel Visionary Awards, Sitecore Experience Awards and the Web Marketing Association’s WebAward Competition for Website Development.
These wins underscore the success of Valtech’s collaboration with Mandarin Oriental as the luxury hotel brand elevated its digital experience post-pandemic.
At the Hotel Visionary Awards by Hospitality Technology, Valtech and Mandarin Oriental took home the trophy for the Hotel-Vendor Partnership Award. The category honors the hard work that goes into building exceptional working relationships between hoteliers and the supplier community.
At the Sitecore Experience Awards, Mandarin Oriental won the Best Experience Transformation category. The Sitecore Experience Awards recognize brands that have built truly customer-centric, digital environments using Sitecore technology. The Experience Transformation category recognizes organizations whose modernization journeys have positively impacted their businesses and customers.
At the Web Marketing Association’s WebAward Competition for Website Development, Valtech and Mandarin Oriental won the award for Outstanding Website. The WebAward Competition acknowledges the people and organizations responsible for developing the most effective online marketing programs on the internet today.
Our collaboration with Mandarin Oriental has been key to our success at these awards. The partnership between our two organizations is based on clarity, empathy, trust and measurable outcomes. This is what allowed Mandarin Oriental to roll out the digital red carpet as it welcomed luxury travelers back to its properties – delivering an experience that stood out amongst the rest.
- Lori Esposito, VP Head of Client Services at Valtech.
We’re proud that industry leaders and organizations are seeing how we’re translating the luxury, customer-first approach people expect from our hotels into digital experiences and commemorating our successful partnership with Valtech. We intend to build on this tremendous momentum in 2024.
- Peter Norris, Vice President of Digital at Mandarin Oriental
Valtech and Mandarin Oriental originally partnered to replatform the hotel group’s website. After both partners gained a better understanding of the goals of the project, it became clear that a more comprehensive, foundational redesign of the brand’s digital presence was necessary.
Valtech’s team reimagined booking flows, highlighted what gave each property its own distinct sense of place and brought bookable experiences such as dining and spa treatments to the fore. The work helped increase new site visits by more than 41%, boost organic traffic by 91%, and raise revenues by 62%.
