Optimizely, a key Valtech Partner, is making waves in the latest analyst reports. Debuting in Forrester’s B2B and B2C Commerce Suites Wave back in March, Optimizely was the only .NET vendor appearing in both the B2B and B2C waves. The Forrester reports praise Optimizely’s experience and marketing centric capabilities as well as their commitment to the cloud and integrated content and commerce capabilities.

 

The latest Gartner report, released in April places Optimizely as a Challenger in their Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce. Gartner too recognizes Optimizely’s strengths with their integrated content and commerce platform and called out Optimizely’s strategy to support a future platform through the use of APIs and web services.

Optimizely’s rise through the analyst reports has been dramatic over the past few years, in part attributable to the acquisition-led growth strategy by Optimizely’s holding company Accel-KKR. Recent acquisitions have included Peerius for omni-channel personalization and Optivo for omni-channel campaign management.

The Peerius integration, now known as Optimizely Perform is making good progress with a public beta released in March. Currently just for Commerce, the Perform personalization engine drives product recommendations using over 100 machine-learning algorithms. Content personalization is already achievable through the rules-based approach configured through visitor groups. Later this year, the “no-rules” personalization from Perform will be extended to content too.
