The opportunity

At Valtech, we’ve got opportunities to offer you — for learning; for growing; for making world-changing impact; for being a real agent of change. Our global workforce exists to unlock a better way to experience the world, and that all starts with our workplace. We’re proud of:

The role

Ideal candidates will have strong systems thinking and a passion for automation, with a deep understanding of DevOps principles and tooling. They will have hands-on experience working across complex enterprise platforms and will have developed a mindset focused on scalable operations, observability, and process consistency. While they may have picked up scripting and tooling along the way, it will have come in service of solving meaningful technical challenges—not just to check a box.

Valtech is looking to hire a Lead DevOps Engineer to support a growing suite of digital commerce platforms, including Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Fluent Commerce, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud. If you are passionate about DevOps, infrastructure-as-code, platform observability, and integrated release management—and want to make a tangible impact across client delivery teams—read on.

Role responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket and Jenkins to support code deployment across SFCC, Fluent Commerce, and SFMC.
  • Build and maintain platform-specific Run Books, SOPs, and KEDB documentation to enable consistent incident handling and operational readiness.
  • Manage and optimize infrastructure observability using ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and integrated logging tools to ensure proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate environment management and deployment automation across platforms such as OpenText DAM, Salsify PIM, OneTrust, and ServiceNow (SNOW).
  • Administer and enforce DevOps best practices across ServiceNow ITSM, ensuring integration of incident, change, and release workflows with development activities.
  • Support secure, compliant, and scalable platform operations through automated job execution, monitoring alerts, and rollback strategies.

Minimum qualifications

We want all new hires to succeed in their roles at Valtech. That's why we've outlined the job requirements below. To be considered for this role, it's important that you meet all Minimum Qualifications. If you do not meet all of the Preferred Qualifications, we still encourage you to apply.

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or platform engineering roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and CI/CD tooling such as Bitbucket and Jenkins.
  • Proficiency managing log pipelines and observability stacks, particularly with ELK.
  • Familiarity with digital commerce systems like Fluent Commerce, SFMC, OpenText DAM, and Salsify PIM.
  • Experience supporting ITSM processes and tooling, including ServiceNow (SNOW).
  • Ability to write and maintain operational documentation (SOPs, KEDBs, runbooks).
  • Comfortable with scripting for automation (e.g., Bash, Python, Groovy).

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience designing and managing enterprise CI/CD pipelines across multiple digital experience platforms.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks or compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2) in DevOps processes.
  • Exposure to headless commerce architecture and microservices-based systems.
  • Experience integrating monitoring and alerting systems with platforms like PagerDuty or Slack.
  • Experience in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Comfortable collaborating across engineering, QA, and business stakeholders.
