A buying journey for the modern age
We know that this evolution of the buying journey, particularly for modern luxury brands, is crucial. Within the next four years, millennials will account for 50% of the global luxury market and by 2035, Gen-Z shoppers (now aged between 5 - 25) will make up 40% of all luxury purchases. Currently they only account for 4% of global luxury spending. Your strategy is clear in your intent to capitalise on this trend and to digitise the buying journey where appropriate, innovating to leapfrog the competition. For BMW, we have developed a Digital Sales Advisor to provide a digital alternative to a physical visit to a dealer. More matchmaker than configurator, the tool helps users explore the range as they might on a forecourt to find which model is the best fit for them.
For Toyota we have built a global finance platform to enable consumers to get immediate finance approval on their car loan in order to create a seamless online buying experience direct from manufacturer.
Blurring the line between online and offline for modern luxury brands
The environment of young affluent shoppers, and how they interact with it, has changed the landscape of luxury shopping forever - navigating the path to purchase via a number of digital touchpoints. We have created platforms for big modern luxury brands that offer effortless convenience while ensuring a strong connection with the brand.

In our 20+ year relationship with Luis Vuitton, we have completely transformed its retailing experience. From a store-based retail model with reliance on personal relationships to becoming a leader in integrated omni-channel customer experience.
As part of our partnership with MAC Cosmetics, we designed and created a new experience for their customers that not only changed the way they interacted with the brand, but the way also they tried on and purchased makeup for the foreseeable future. The innovation and technology we developed was described as “the next step in virtual retail” by Forbes.

Through Valtech Mobility we have been working with both Audi and Volkswagen to develop the interface and software that sits at the heart of their connected car service, and more importantly, help identify where that technology should go next.
Our mobility experience doesn’t stop at automotive. We work with airlines, airports, train operators and hotels all over the world and have dedicated verticals in automotive and travel. In the UK alone we work with clients such as easyJet, London North Eastern Railway (LNER), National Rail and the Department for Transport. We have a full understanding of modern mobility and have an incredibly deep understanding of consumer needs.
For the Department for Transport (DfT), we conducted in-depth customer research to help digitise the Blue Badge application process and turn it from the most complained about digital service operated by the DfT into one of the most efficient and well regarded. We are now working with DfT to understand how technology can enable smart parking for disabled customers and a government e-scooter service in city centres.
This rounded knowledge of the modern mobility consumer would bring interesting perspectives to the JLR mobility future.
