Valtech named finalist in Optimizely Opal Innovation Challenge for its AI-powered personalization agent

Valtech is proud to announce that its AI innovation team has been selected as a finalist in the first-ever Optimizely Opal Innovation Challenge, recognizing our creativity and technical prowess in building next-generation AI-powered marketing solutions.

The Opal Innovation Challenge, hosted by Optimizely, invited leading agencies and partners from around the world to develop innovative agents using the new Opal SDK, aimed at solving real-world marketing, personalization and ecommerce challenges.

Out of 22 submissions, Valtech’s solution stood out among the judges and was chosen as one of six finalists. At the heart of Valtech’s submission was a bold, future-ready idea: an AI agent built to intelligently connect data, context and behavior to deliver truly adaptive customer journeys.

Architecting an AI agent for next-generation personalization

Valtech’s submission, the 360° Customer Profile & Predictive Personalization Agent, represents a bold step toward transforming fragmented customer data into actionable, real-time insights.

  • The agent aggregates multiple data sources (browsing behavior, purchase history, engagement metrics, etc.) to build dynamic, evolving customer profiles.

  • It leverages Opal’s AI capabilities to interpret that data in context and trigger next-best-actions such as personalized web experiences, targeted emails or tailored experimentation variants, all without heavy engineering overhead.

  • Through this solution, Valtech demonstrated how Opal can power a fully automated personalization engine embedded directly in marketing workflows, turning static data into continuous revenue-driving customer engagement.
