The role
As a Lead Frontend Developer and Consultant at Valtech, your role goes beyond providing technical expertise – you will play a key part in understanding our clients’ business goals and showing how our solutions can address their challenges and drive their success.
You will be involved in every stage of the client journey - from pitching new projects and shaping the initial discovery phase, all the way through to final delivery. Along the way, you will collaborate closely with talented teams across Valtech, both locally and globally, as well as with our valued clients to bring innovative digital experiences to life.
Role responsibilities
- Lead the front-end design and architecture of complex, enterprise-level digital experience solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements, technical standards, and best practices.
- Act as a sparring partner to clients and support in setting strategic directions of the client’s architectural roadmap.
- Proactively propose innovative solutions both internally and on the client side to drive value and address business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy frontend solutions that meet client requirements
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and methodologies
- Develop architectural documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and presentations, clearly communicating front end designs.
- Actively participate in client meetings, workshops, and presentations to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews to more junior front end developers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Must have qualifications
- At least 8 years of experience in frontend development, especially within modern frontend stacks
- Preferable professional working experience from IT consultancy, digital agency, start-up or similar fast-paced working environment
- Proven track record of effectively engaging with stakeholders and identifying opportunities to add value to their projects
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG, etc.) to build inclusive and compliant web applications
- Experience in working in teams distributed globally and co-creation teams with the client.
- Ability to lead a team of frontend developers towards common goals and follow decided architectural principles
- Flexibility to work on-site in and around Copenhagen a few times a week
Your technical skills should include:
- Proficiency in React, Vue, Next.js or other React frameworks. Tailwind is a plus
- Javascript, HTML, CSS
- Docker experience as well as Vercel is useful
- Experience with Algolia is an advantage
- GraphQL
- API integrations
- Experience with Design Systems and building UI Libraries in Storybook
- Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence and preferably Monorepo
