The role
Valtech is looking for a Senior React Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in React both 16 and 18, JavaScript, and CSS, with a passion for building scalable and high-performance solutions.
You will work in an agile way in cross-functional global teams to deliver exceptional user experiences, having to focus on:
- Work on custom projects for clients, sometimes very closely with their team
- Keep a healthy communication with your project manager and client
- Take active part in all project stages – analysis, estimation, documentation, coding, bug fixing and support
- Learn from your colleagues and teach them what you know

- Experienced in Agile methodologies and consulting (a plus)
Must have qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:
- Expertise in HTML5/CSS3, including preprocessors like LESS/SASS, and methodologies such as BEM
- 5+ years experience with React.js
- Strong experience with Next.js
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES5+) and TypeScript
- Hands-on experience consuming REST APIs
- Knowledge of Git and version control systems
- Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices
- Awareness of SEO standards and how they apply to front-end development
- Familiarity with unit testing and related testing frameworks
- Proven ability to work effectively in Agile and Scrum methodologies within cross-functional teams
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills with a high sense of accountability
- Advanced level of English proficiency
Nice to have qualifications
- Experience working with Azure cloud services
- Exposure to Node.js development
- Familiarity with Commerce tools or other headless commerce platforms
- Interest or experience in modern front-end tools and processes
