The role
As a Frontend Developer specializing in Optimizely Configured Commerce with Spire CMS, you will be responsible for building dynamic, modular, and responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks. You’ll work within the Spire architecture to deliver high-performing B2B eCommerce experiences that are scalable and maintainable. You are passionate about experience innovation and eager to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You bring at least 5 years of experience, a growth mindset and a drive to make a lasting impact.

Role responsibilities
• Develop and customize UI components using React within the Spire CMS
framework.
• Extend and configure Spire widgets to meet business requirements and
integrate with backend APIs.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement pixel-perfect designs and
ensure a consistent user experience.
• Optimize performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across devices and
browsers.
• Integrate frontend components with Optimizely’s RESTful APIs and backend
services.
• Maintain and enhance the Spire CMS theme, including layout, routing, and
widget configuration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve frontend issues in staging and production
environments.
Must have qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Hands-on experience with Spire CMS architecture, including widget development and layout configuration.
• Familiarity with Optimizely Configured Commerce APIs and integration patterns.
• Experience with Webpack, Babel, and other modern build tools.
• Understanding of component-based architecture, state management (e.g., Redux or Context API), and routing in React.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards, SEO best practices, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with Git, JIRA, and Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with Optimizely CMS (Content Cloud) and its integration with Commerce.

The benefits
his is a full time position based in Canada. The offered salary range is 65,000 to 95,000 CAD annually, depending on experience and location
Valtech offers a comprehensive benefits package effective after three months of continuous service:
- A comprehensive insurance plan, where you can choose the module that best suits your needs—Gold, Silver, or Bronze. The employer may contribute up to 80% of your coverage depending on the selected module. This plan includes short- and long-term disability coverage.

- A retirement plan where Valtech will match 100% of your RRSP contributions through a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), up to a maximum of 4%. You can start contributing to your RRSP immediately, and to the DPSP after 3 months. The vesting of the DPSP will be after a 24 months of service.
- Access to a flexible vacation under Valtech's policy to support your work-life balance, with 5 days available during your probation period and a prorated amount calculated for the remainder of the year.
- Personal Technology Reimbursement – $30/month for every employee-offered on day 1.
- We close during the winter holidays and offer flexible scheduling throughout the year, so you can enjoy those sunny Friday afternoons—provided your weekly hours are completed.
