Dear Intranet,
I’m not sure where to start. I mean, literally, I can’t even find you at work. Ever since we first met, I’ve always felt like you’ve never taken the time to truly understand my needs. Never bothered to ask me what I wanted. How do I work?
For years, I’ve been searching for answers to our problems, but all I get back from you is the same old thing over and over again.The same old thing over and over again. (Annoying, isn’t it?)
I wanted to spend more time with you, other than just at the office, but it’s so hard to reach you by phone or at home. I’ve got no choice but to avoid you and do things on my own. It’s not just me, everyone else feels the same.
Sometimes you belong to IT, sometimes you belong to Communications, but you've never belonged to me.
Where do we go from here?

2. You've changed...no wait, you haven't.
Dear Intranet,
I've given it some more thought.
Since we still have to see each other every day, we need to make this work. I want you to know that I work differently now, but it feels like you haven't made the effort to keep up. You're kind of stuck in 1997 and well, the world has changed since then.
The stuff you're still into worries me. Comic Sans? Classified ads? SharePoint 2010? I can't give you the mainstream support you need anymore...no one can!
You've become a hoarder and it's time for you to get more organized - a total makeover. I want us to get more done together, but since you don't collaborate well with others. I'll be doomed to eating lunch alone.
I guess we could stay friends, or as GOTYE put it, "Somebody that I used to know."

3. Workplace wanderlust.
Dear Intranet,
This is the hardest thing I've ever had to say, but I don't see a future of work with you anymore.
I need more freedom, but I've realized that it's not just you, it's bigger than us. The world we live in inside of this place, needs to keep up with where the world outside of this place is headed.
(Heavy, I know, but let me explain.)
Groupthink has kept us the same for too long. I yearn for a more collective experience. People don't stick around for 25 years anymore, let alone 5 days a week. I can only handle you part-time or temporarily - this is the way relationships like this are working nowadays.
I work better in a place not boxed in by org charts, but set free by data. I know, it sounds like I've got my head in the cloud - but that's exactly where I need to be to survive.
