Valtech welcomes Mandhir Gidda as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for EMEA with ambitions to grow the agency’s technology capabilities and services across the region, enabling Valtech to maintain current level of technical excellence.
Having worked in the technology and digital space since 1993, most recently at digital agencies such as Razorfish, Mirum and Wunderman Thompson as UK CTO, Mandhir comes to Valtech with extensive capabilities within technology.
As the CTO, EMEA at Valtech, Mandhir will be responsible for the continuous development of Valtech’s technical capabilities and expertise:
“Valtech’s reputation for its ability to build, design, and deliver digital solutions has always been second to none. As I now join Valtech, my role is to explore the opportunities and new areas in need of technical design that are continuously served by the technology world, building new capability and service lines and thereby growing the Valtech business.”
Technology being more relevant than ever
The role of CTO for EMEA is created in part to maintain the highest level of technical capabilities in the continuously growing region, but also, as Mandhir states, to explore those many new digital opportunities and necessities experienced by companies today, accelerated by COVID19:
“COVID19 has or will change many business models, and for others it will accelerate plans they may have had for the middle-distance future. These businesses need to plan for a new way of working, aided by innovative technologies, newer emerging experiences, and more data driven outcomes.”
This is where digital agencies like Valtech can prosper, if they continuously explore the digital and technical opportunities to aid businesses on their digital endeavors, Mandhir continues:
“It could be argued that to some extent all businesses will be digital businesses and their reliance on technologies in production, marketing, data, commerce, and cloud will be more than they ever envisaged, consequently their need for agency partners that understand these technologies, together as a cohesive whole, will also be more than ever.”
Success paved by the right people
Bringing Mandhir onboard was a decision based on more than simple qualifications, Global CTO, Auke van Urk, explains:
