Cars Aren’t What They Used to Be

May 08, 2019

Automakers are in overdrive. The latest trends and advances in technology require car manufacturers to work tirelessly on their connectivity strategies. They are adapting their offers to customer demands of constant connectivity, both with and in their vehicles, as an integral part of their lifestyle.

Digital Interfaces

Samsung and Harman demonstrated their Digital Cockpit at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2019. This vehicle offers features like personalization for in the car and at home. Similarly to other AI’s before it, Bixby is the copilot to this Digital Cockpit. With the sound of your voice, passengers can make in-car commands, connected with third-party apps and Galaxy Home users can even check the status of their residence.

At Valtech we view ourselves as a long-term partner in the digital development of connected cars. We recognize that as technology continues to evolve automakers can adapt to the needs of their customers and exceed their expectations. Valtech knows the value of connected cars.

Self-driving Cars

Waymo is working to reduce the number of drivers on the roads by piloting a program with rideshare characteristics. With a self-driving car, passengers can safely embark on their daily commutes, run errands and shop while they ride.

As if being a passenger couldn’t get any easier, Walmart partnered with Waymo to transport customers to their stores. Shoppers order their groceries online, and a Waymo vehicle picks them up to retrieve their items. Customers can get their groceries without setting foot out the car. Walmart employees load the groceries in the car completely catering to the shopper. The experience is entirely seamless.
