The Role  

As a SER - Monitoring Expert, you are passionate about experience innovation and eager to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You bring 6+ years of experience, a growth mindset and a drive to make a lasting impact.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and own the monitoring strategy for Xstore POS and Mobile Apps platforms.
  • Design and implement monitoring dashboards using Grafana, Kibana, Firebase Crashlytics, New Relic, Uptime Kuma
  • Establish end-to-end observability: infrastructure (servers, databases), applications (POS, mobile apps), and integrations (payment, ERP, CRM).
  • Build alerting frameworks with clear severity levels (P1–P4) and escalation rules.
  • Drive incident detection automation, reducing MTTR (Mean Time to Resolve).
  • Ensure monitoring covers business transactions (sales, settlements, promotions, payments).
  • Collaborate with L2/L3/ support teams/DevOps for RCA and incident prevention.
  • Integrate monitoring with ServiceNow/JIRA for automated incident creation.
  • Optimize existing monitoring solutions and recommend new tools.
  • Mentor junior monitoring developers and ensure knowledge sharing.
  • Report monitoring KPIs and provide insights to leadership for continuous improvement.

Must have

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: 

  • Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is typically required.
  • 6–9 years of experience in IT monitoring or observability engineering.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with monitoring tools:
    • Grafana
    • Kibana
    • New Relic
    • Firebase (Crashlytics & Performance)
    • Uptime Kuma
  • Experience working with POS or enterprise retail platforms, ideally Oracle Xstore.
  • Solid understanding of log aggregation, metrics collection, and alerting frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native monitoring tools, including:
    • AWS CloudWatch
    • OCI Monitoring
    • AliCloud monitoring solutions
  • Good grasp of DevOps practices and how monitoring integrates with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with global support teams.
