When you suffer from an illness, Google can be your best friend or your worst enemy. For Lundbeck, it is imperative to support people's need for information when they are diagnosed - both the factual and the more emotional information. Therefore, Lundbeck's new website is far more focused around providing an engaging and informative experience, where patients can easily share stories and find relevant and credible information. In other words, a website that is true to Lundbeck's values while also matching their ambitions and focuses on the patients’ needs.
In a league of its own
With patients being their driving force, Lundbeck now has a website in a league of its own, explains David Gutfelt, Delivery Director at the global, digital agency, Valtech.
“Throughout our collaboration, Lundbeck has always been very clear about their ambitions to keep patients at the center by means of a superior experience. Valtech always works with the user at the center, so that goal was of course a perfect starting point. Together we have managed to create a digital universe with an understanding of Lundbeck's unique needs and challenges, which puts patients at the center on all parameters.”
Lundbeck not only upgraded the exterior, but also the digital foundation. The new website is built on Adobe Experience Manager, which to a greater extent can support Lundbeck's business and the patients' experience, David Gutfelt further explains:
“Lundbeck now has the technical foundation needed in a market that constantly requires new approaches to patient engagement. With the world's leading CMS, Lundbeck is guaranteed a stable platform with low technical debt and therefore significantly reduced costs in connection with both maintenance and further development for many years to come.”
The collaboration continues
The journey for better digital performance does not stop with the launch of the new website - now Lundbeck needs to exploit all the opportunities, explains David Gutfelt:
“Lundbeck's digital ambitions do not stop here. Lundbeck has a large digital landscape and many systems that are also used by other more specialized user groups, and in the long run there are many opportunities to connect to the benefits available on lundbeck.com. The next step in our joint journey is to ensure that the data that is now available is activated in the best possible way.”
In this connection, Valtech will continue to work with Lundbeck on analytics and data activation, which can set the direction for how to expand the platform in the future, David Gutfelt concludes.
