The role
The ideal Business Analyst for Valtech is an innovative, strategic problem solver who has a passion to partner with clients to drive business strategy for digital workstreams. We are looking for analysts who enjoy evolutionary support while ensuring a successful task deployment of each software product's features.
Role responsibilities
As a Business Analyst, you create and maintain close relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring the engagement of the team and the client’s main profiles to drive results, demonstrating excellent planning skills, communication, and commitment. You will take responsibility for analyzing system complexities, product/service use cases, and organizing detailed specifications on how the product/service is developed by engineering teams. Also being involved in all project stages, from discovery to post-implementation support, ensuring collaboration between business, strategy, experience design, and technology for a clear product understanding.
As a trusted advisor to our clients, you will be the backlog owner, creating detailed requirements (business rules & functional specifications) by gathering all necessary information, defining acceptance criteria, carrying out functional testing, ensuring the expected performance of the solution, and conducting functional testing. You are responsible for estimating work with the team, leading ceremonies, tracking scope progress vs. time consumed, and proactively reporting and raising issues, providing recommendations to the product team.
You are open to continuous learning from senior professionals and interacting with other work cells to improve effectiveness and autonomy.
Must have qualifications

- + 5 years of experience in software consulting areas.
- Strong experience in eliciting requirements and testing.
- Strong experience in analyzing large amounts of data to draw business-relevant conclusions.
- Proficient in data visualization techniques and tools.
- Knowledge in generating process documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.
- Experience in assembling use cases, user stories, and progress reports.
- Experience working with agile methodologies (preferably Scrum).
- Completed or in-progress tertiary/university studies.
- Good negotiation, analytical, organization and time management skills.
- Intermediate/ Upper Intermediate English skills.
- Native Spanish Speaker.
- Being proactive and hands-on, eager to continous improvement.
- Best practices oriented.
- Experience in database management and usage, particularly with MySQL.
Nice to have qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or an IT-related field.
- Assurance industry experience.
- Business Analyst certification is a plus.
