The role
As a Sr. Database Administrator, you are passionate about experience innovation and eager to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You bring 5+ years of experience, a growth mindset and a drive to make a lasting impact.

- Experienced in Agile methodologies and consulting (a plus)
Must have qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:
• At least 5 years of experience administering Oracle and/or Informix and/or SQL Server database engines
• Oracle Database Administration I 1Z0-082 and/or Informix 11.50, 12.10, 14 IBM Certified Database Administrator – Informix and/or SQL Server Exam DP-300: Administering Microsoft Azure SQL Solutions certification
• Experience administering MySQL and/or MariaDB engines
• At least 2 years of experience with cloud engines such as MongoDB and/or Cosmos DB
• Knowledge in the use of backup tools such as Tivoli Storage Manager
• Experience in design, installation, and maintenance of DBMS solutions to support different types of applications
• Experience in migrations between versions or different DBMS
• Experience in the design, implementation, and maintenance of high availability solutions
• Experience applying fixes, patches, and version upgrades
• Ability to resolve incidents
• Knowledge to propose improvements and perform tuning of instances/DBs
• Security configurations (encryption, user management, authentication, authorization, hardening)
• Basic scripting knowledge (bash, ksh, or python) for maintenance task automation
• Backup administration, restore, and disaster recovery
• Space management, indexes, query optimization, statistics, and database reorganization
• Project follow-up
• Availability to perform on-call duty 14 days per month and resolve incidents in case of activation
Nice to have qualifications
• Experience administering DB2 engines (9.7, 10.5, 11.1)
• Experience administering MySQL engines (versions 5.0 and 5.7) and/or MariaDB
• Experience administering PostgreSQL engines
• Knowledge in Elastic Search
• Virtualization: VMware and Azure cloud services
• Experience with operating systems Linux (AIX, Red Hat 7, SUSE 11 and 12), Windows (2008, 2008R2, 2012)
