The role  

As Senior Delivery Lead, you'll be at the heart of the team's delivery process, responsible for facilitating and optimising the entire lifecycle – from ideation to implementation and continuous optimisation. You'll work closely with internal executives, senior stakeholders, business users, and cross-functional teams to gather and document requirements, and drive solution design in close partnership with Product Ownership and Technical Leadership.

Role responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex digital programs and projects, ensuring governance, delivery excellence, and measurable business impact for a diverse range of clients.   
  • Guide clients through their digital transformation journey by aligning strategies with business goals, translating them into program objectives, roadmaps, and success metrics.  
  • Serve as the primary client contact for program governance, risk management, and reporting, fostering transparency and alignment with stakeholders.   
  • Proactively manage risks and delivery blockers, implementing strategic resolutions and escalating issues when necessary.   
  • Monitor and report on delivery progress, burn rates, and financial health to ensure effective project governance.   
  • Drive continuous improvement in program delivery, embedding best practices in digital strategy, technology, and operations, and evolving delivery frameworks for scalability and agility.   
  • Collaborate with client teams to optimize program outcomes, ensure long-term strategic growth, and promote alignment between strategy, creative, and technology functions.   
  • Own program-level budgets and P&L management, managing different contracting models to ensure commercial success, profitability, and sustainable growth.   
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, positioning Valtech as a strategic partner.   
  • Identify opportunities for account expansion and service innovation, driving revenue growth in collaboration with sales and account teams.   
  • Support new business pitches and proposals by providing insights from successful program delivery. 

Must have qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

  • Proven track record (10+ years) in leading digital transformation program/projects within consulting, agency, or enterprise environments.   
  • Extensive experience in client-facing program and project management roles with the ability to work with client stakeholders on complex, multi-layered initiatives.   
  • Ownership of program-level budgets and vast experience in managing different contracting models (T&M, Fixed price)   
  • Strong track record of delivering digital programs across multiple disciplines and with international, distributed, and multicultural project teams.   
  • Strategic and operational expertise, with the ability to bridge high-level business strategy with tactical execution.   
  • A flexible mindset and hands-on approach, seamlessly switching between strategic leadership and operational interventions.   
  • Expertise in Agile at scale with a strong grasp of digital delivery models.   
  • Proven experience in leading, coaching, and inspiring multidisciplinary teams, including UX designers, developers, business analysts, QA. 
  • Strong mentoring skills, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.   
  • Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English.   

Nice to have qualifications  

  • Knowledge of traditional SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).  
  • Proven ability to bring transparency to the business team about development; building trust while demonstrating your commitment to deliverables to the business team.  
  • Experience with identifying delivery issues and risks, and a sense of urgency for removing bottlenecks, optimising flow, and driving continuous improvement.  
  • Experiencie with E-comerce projects
