About HARTMANN

HARTMANN

The HARTMANN GROUP is one of Europe’s leading providers of professional medical and care products. The core segments of its business are incontinence management, wound management and infection prevention.

Founded in 1818, the company is present with products and solutions in more than 130 countries. With its high-performance, customer-oriented and passionate team, the HARTMANN GROUP is currently implementing its strategic transformation program for the future.

A D2C foundation for all future commerce

HARTMANN

Valtech’s first engagement with HARTMANN was to create a global hub for wound care expertise, called LINK, to support customers’ shopping experiences. Building on the success of that initial collaboration, we helped HARTMANN create a multi-brand online shop to augment existing sales channels, such as call centers and pharmacies. This meant creating an innovative D2C commerce platform to serve as the basis for all future ecommerce activities. We supported the platform with new marketing automation features.

The services needed to leap ahead

HARTMANN

Building such an ambitious D2C platform called for a variety of services, which we delivered. These included:

  • SEO and data research

  • UX design and development

  • Information architecture

  • Front- and back-end development

  • Integration with other HARTMANN systems

  • Quality assurance

  • Application support

  • Marketing automation

  • Product information management

The technical work included integrating SAP CX with Sitecore, plus the necessary upgrades to the existing SAPCX platform.

Continuing a successful partnership

HARTMANN

The D2C shop launched in Germany, France, the UK, the Czech Republic and Australia. Since then, Valtech has provided post-go-live support and maintenance, as well as maintenance of the product backlog. The UX and SEO/data stream will likely continue into 2024, and an advanced analytics value proposition is ongoing for 2024.

Working with Valtech, I felt a lot of good energy, commitment and motivation. This enabled us to quickly build a trusting relationship over the course of the project, which in turn led to better business value.

– Sven Hanold, Director Digital Product Engineering at HARTMANN Group
