A day in the life of a Business Development Manager

As our Business Development Manager, you are an integrated part of our work within the automotive digital sphere. Daily, you will actively engage with a number of existing clients within the automotive industry to uncover and seize new opportunities.

Your mission is to proactively work with an existing client base, crafting solid conversations that steer us towards further collaboration with clients. Whether orchestrating smaller engagements or contributing to major pitches alongside our Senior Client Partner, your role is pivotal. With the support of not only a local team, a Client Partner Team and our regional automotive experts, you’ll help navigate Valtech towards automotive digital excellence.

In addition, you will:

  • Manage and lead daily client relations work within the automotive sector, initiating conversations and leading the engagements
  • Own incoming business inquiries and leads, regardless of size
  • Network within automotive circles, attending industry events to forge vital connections
  • Drive Valtech’s growth in the automotive digital domain, supporting to meet out ambitious revenue targets
  • Occasionally travel across the Nordics for client engagements, spotlighting our automotive digital solutions

You and the role

You are someone with 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably within a digital agency or consultancy, with a strong focus on and knowledge of the automotive industry. Your drive for innovation and hands-on approach signify your readiness to dive into action.

More specifically, you have

  • A sales or business development experience, and preferably IT/tech background
  • Insight into the digital/tech landscape, especially within the Swedish automotive market, paired with a desire to evolve as a sales leader in this area
  • A proactive approach to client engagement, with a history of building and nurturing networks and partnerships across the automotive sector
  • Tech savviness, able to link automotive needs with digital innovations
  • A passion for integrating technology with automotive advancements, eagerness to stay ahead of trends, and commitment to fostering a collaborative, idea-driven environment
  • Network within automotive sector in Sweden is an absolute plus but not a requirement for this role
  • Proficiency in English and Swedish is essential for this role
