A day in the life of a Program Manager
A Program Manager at Valtech is the key person responsible for leading and running complex programs or projects from start to finish. The main task is to ensure that the program or project achieves its objectives within specified time frames and budgets while delivering high quality results.
Your responsibilities include:
- Program Planning and Strategy: Plans and strategies for projects, defining goals, establishing timelines, allocating resources, and mitigating risks to ensure successful outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships and communications with diverse stakeholders, including team members, management, customers, and suppliers, ensuring transparency and involvement throughout the program lifecycle.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration: Provide direction, resources, and encouragement to project teams, fostering collaboration and open communication to achieve collective objectives efficiently.
- Budget and Resource planning. Budgets and resource utilization, monitoring costs, managing supplier contracts, and adapting as needed to maintain financial targets.
- Progress Tracking and Reporting: Relevant metrics and reporting tools to monitor program progress, identifying deviations and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
- Quality Assurance: Uphold quality standards and adherence to processes and guidelines, conducting reviews, tests, and implementing enhancements to ensure deliverables meet expectations.
In summary, as a Program Manager at Valtech you will take a role of a strategic and driven leader who plays a central role in ensuring the success of complex programs and projects by effectively managing resources, risks and stakeholders.
You and the role
You are someone with 10 years of experience with digital transformation projects. Taking the lead, making decisions and proactively setting things in motion is something that you feel comfortable doing.
Whether your focus is on management or technology, we value you giving a trustworthy impression and having a humble attitude. As a person, you are receptive and communicative, with good leadership qualities and a team-oriented mindset. You have a strong aptitude for planning and proactivity. You are interested in group development, individual differences, and building effective teams. You have the ability to think strategically and understand and meet our customers' needs in a knowledgeable and responsive manner.
We would love if you have
- Around 10 years of experience in project and/or program management in digital context, preferably from an IT consultancy / digital agency or a similar fast-faced working environment
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills. You have a solid experience leading discussions with customers and clients, and leading and facilitating workshops
- Previous experience and ability to spot the opportunities to develop and grow the assignments with clients
- Fluency in both English and Swedish is required for this role. Ability to work in multi-language spread out teams and lead across borders
- Flexibility to work regularly on-site with clients (on average 2-3 times a week) in and around Stockholm and Gothenburg
