Samsung is a multinational company, headquartered in South Korea. With many affiliated businesses, it has become one of the foremost electronics companies around the world and in the USA.

Architecting a user experience across channels

Samsung enlisted Valtech to reimagine the customer experience with Samsung products from a website and in-store perspective. The home appliance line is positioned within the premium product assortment with connected attributes of each product (stove top range, refrigerator, etc.) and conveying these value adds can be cumbersome in digital experience. Over the past 3 years, Valtech propelled the customer experience, including the Samsung “Center Stage” in-store connected experience and the Samsung kitchen consultant website.

When first engaged, the Center Stage device was located in a handful of retail locations with lackluster organic engagement. The Valtech team was tasked with redesigning the touch-screen experience to create a product-focused experience that showcases the entire product lines, above the 2 or 3 models that are typically located within retail locations. The 8-foot screen is revamped quarterly to show new product launches and add new interactive features, including augmented reality to bridge the engagement onto personal mobile devices and clientelling tablet applications.

Home appliances are big ticket items that are often contemplated over months to match taste/style, budget and physical size.  To ease this consumer experience, Samsung partnered with Valtech to create an online kitchen configurator to showcase products within realistic home scenarios. This digital experience involved a heavy user experience exercise to evaluate consumer behavior and experience strategy. The end result is an intuitive site flow and navigation with a visually rich presentation.
