Maximizing the value of a market-leading CMS

Valtech is a long-term partner and adviser to Lundbeck. We previously launched a global web presence across 46 markets and maintain responsibility for the brand’s global corporate site. 

So, when Lundbeck’s Canadian team sought to improve site performance and operational efficiency, Valtech was brought in to oversee a migration to the company’s global Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform.

Lundbeck had invested heavily in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), the leading CMS and DXP platform for healthcare companies. A migration would maximize the company’s investment while streamlining internal processes. 

Consolidating Lundbeck Canada and several local affiliate websites into a shared infrastructure would reduce complexity, streamline internal collaboration, and ensure access to the latest features and support.

Fast migration, faster time to market

CMS migrations often involve complex planning and stakeholder coordination — even more so in the highly regulated pharmaceutical industry.

Thanks to our deep understanding of Lundbeck’s platform setup and our experience with healthcare implementations, the Valtech team was able to complete the migration of three Canadian sites in just under three months.

In addition to a smoother authoring experience, the move to a shared AEM instance enabled the Canadian team to take advantage of existing components and governance, reducing rework and simplifying go-to-market processes for content.

The Lundbeck Canadian affiliate has praised the migration, highlighting that it has significantly improved their ability to bring new website code updates to market more quickly – a major step forward from their previous setup.

The successful migration demonstrated the benefits of a shared global AEM platform — from greater operational control to faster content delivery.

As a result, Lundbeck is now planning to onboard additional markets to the platform, further eliminating fragmented setups and driving consistency across the organization.
