Redefining transformation

Embracing change, cultures and transformation.

April 21, 2026

Meet Fatima-Zahra Hamil, Europe VP Product Management & Business Analysis, based in Paris.

With a background that spans across information systems engineering, organization design and UX, Fatima-Zahra works at the intersection of product, transformation and change.

Fatima-Zahra Hamil – Europe VP Product Management & Business Analysis

Her role is not just about defining what organizations should build but helping them rethink how they operate to make it happen.

Long before stepping into consulting, Fatima-Zahra was already telling stories. At just 18, she was writing for Morocco's first independent newspaper. Today, that passion continues in a different form as she trains in screenwriting and works on a Moroccan psychological thriller.

Leading transformation from the inside

As a VP of Product Management & Business Analysis, Fatima-Zahra's work goes far beyond traditional product roles. She focuses on understanding how organizations create value, how teams collaborate and what needs to shift for transformation to truly take hold.

I help organizations figure out not just what they want to build, but how they actually need to change to get there.

Her work often involves diagnosis of organizational challenges, designing new operating models and ensuring those changes are sustainable over time. It's a role that requires both analytical precision and deep understanding of human dynamics.

Her approach to transformation is deeply systemic. She often uses a personal analogy to explain this: wearing dental aligners. Even though only one part needed correction, the treatment required adjusting the entirety of the system because every change has a ripple effect. “You can't just fix one corner and expect everything else to follow,” Fatima-Zahra says. “Change must be thought of holistically.”

It’s a perspective she brings into her work every day, helping organizations understand that real transformation goes beyond tools or processes.

Starting with clarity

Fatima-Zahra begins her day with intention and focus. She aims to protect her morning for deep work while pushing meetings to later in the day when possible.

“I scan what happened the day before and mentally lock my priorities,” she says. “No endless to-do list, just two or three things that actually matter.”

This structure helps her stay productive in a role that naturally demands constant context switching between clients and teams.

A balance of deep work and human connection

Fatima-Zahra’s days are a dense mix of client workshops, internal collaboration and focused individual work. But what stands out more are the moments of transformation.

“The moments when something shifts, when a person across the table starts seeing their own organization differently. It’s rare, but that’s exactly why I do this job.”

Beyond client work, she contributes to internal Diversity & Inclusion initiatives and remains actively engaged in product communities such as Women in Product and Women in SaaS. She is also currently serving as president of Agile France, leading its relaunch over a two-year term.

The discipline of transformation

Success in Fatima-Zahra’s role requires far more than technical expertise. It demands clarity, humility and the ability to navigate complexity. At the heart of her work is reading organizations as they truly are and communicating that reality in a way that drives meaningful change.

Her career reflects this mindset. Rather than staying within a single discipline, she built her expertise horizontally, combining product management, business analysis, UX and organizational design, always with a focus on how people and systems interact.

“Leaving your ego at the door sounds easy,” she says, “until it isn’t.”

Growth through consulting and culture

Working in consulting has shaped how Fatima-Zahra approaches both problems and people. Each client represents a different system with its own dynamics, challenges and blind spots. For someone in this line of work, building a level of adaptability and insight becomes a defining strength over time.

“It’s lived by the people: solidarity, support, genuine kindness,” she says. “But also, high standards and excellence, which suits me perfectly.”

At Valtech, Fatima-Zahra finds an environment that both supports and challenges that growth, combining strong human connection with high expectations and a culture of excellence. She embraces the constant learning curve and the opportunity to keep evolving.

Creating impact, and space to recharge

For Fatima-Zahra, impact is about transforming how people experience their work and how they see themselves within their organizations. That perspective shapes not only her approach to clients, but also how she manages her own energy and balance.

She builds moments of pause into her day, from short meditation breaks to fully disconnecting when needed, sometimes retreating to a cabin outside Paris. Writing also remains a constant thread in her life, continuing to influence how she thinks and creates.

A transformation mission doesn’t just change ways of working. It changes how people see themselves inside their organization.
