What we are looking for:

She/He/They will be reporting to the Accounting Manager, computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties.

Back to the role:

What you will do:

  • Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and time cards, substantiating business transactions
  • Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as time cards, bill rates, pay rates, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases
  • Audits invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies, and processes invoices
  • Investigates problems that clients or purchasing agents have with invoices
  • Prepares vouchers, invoices, account statements, reports, and other records, and reviews for accuracy
  • Reconciles general ledger accounts with various registers
  • Reconciles report discrepancies and problems
  • Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures
  • Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections
  • Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Work overtime as assigned.
  • Ability to collaborate with others.
  • Ability to maintain sustained concentration on computer screens.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

What you should have:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Oracle.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving standardized situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
