We are taking our business development operations and look for an experienced Bid Manager/in to join us on our journey to the next level of success.

The Position

As our new Bid Manager/in you’ll spend your time:

  • Playing an active and hands-on role in supporting Valtech in strategically preparing, bidding and winning large scale client engagements that shape digital solutions of the future.
  • Owning the bid process from start to finish
  • Identifying opportunities on which to submit bids and feeding into the decision process
  • Operating as a leader to research, manage, write, check and deliver quality proposals to our customer and prospects.
  • Organising the bid team, confirming roles and responsibilities and creating the bid plan to meet the client timetable
  • Collaborating with key members of the project bid team and client organisation to compile and develop winning propositions that comply with our customers’ requirements.
  • Orchestrating activity through different phases of the bid process to make sure deliverables are completed in line with the bid requirements/plan and that a winning proposition is submitted to the client.
  • Engaging across the whole business to ensure that any issues or conflicts that get in the way of the bid process are resolved quickly and effectively.
  • Assessing and addressing both technical and commercial risks relating to new and ongoing Valtech bids
  • Ensuring adherence to legally binding requirements and client’s long-term goals.
  • Supporting the sales and pre-sales teams working with existing clients and prospects
  • Proposing and taking ownership for process improvement activities.

  • You hold relevant experience and demonstrable track records within bidding and winning digital and data transformation projects
  • You hold demonstrable knowledge of commercial, financial and market related requirements for client proposals and tender responses.
  • You have a proven track record in leading multi-disciplinary teams to form effective bid teams.
  • You can demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and to continually engage in improving the bid process.
  • You can clearly represent a client’s requirements to a bid team
  • You are confident presenting forward logical arguments that support persuading customers to change aspects of their intended approach
  • You are a proficient English communicator, and furthermore fluent in either French or German (both highly desirable)
