Reporting to the CFO, you will support the day-to-day operations of the finance department. You will also be responsible for team management and development. You will provide accounting control with excellent analysis and participate in process improvement.
Responsibilities
Supervise a team of 3-4 people;
Plan, direct and coordinate all operational functions related to accounting;
Manage the accumulation and reconciliation of all financial data necessary to accurately perform accounting for the consolidated business results;
Be responsible for monthly financial statements;
Prepare and oversee the year-end package with the external auditors;
Develop tools for tracking performance indicators in collaboration with the directors;
Assist in the preparation files for government tax credits;
Verify, accounts receivable and accounts payable;
Prepare various analyses and ad hoc reports for senior management;
Develop and track corporate performance measures;
Participate in effective internal control;
Be responsible for compliance with the various laws in force in Quebec (taxes, etc.);
Skills
Bachelor's degree in administration or a relevant field;
3 to 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in an auditing firm with clients that are growing SMEs;
CPA designation;
Thorough knowledge of the accounting cycle;
Experience with an ERP system;
Experience in supervising and organizing staff.
Excellent command of French and English, both oral and written;
Good organizational and stress management skills;
Ability to popularize accounting information;
Great leadership skills, with experience managing change, anticipating problems and finding effective solutions;
