As we continue to expand across the world, we are looking for an innovative video editor to join our global team and help us to take video creation to the next level. Reporting into the Global Content Director, you will be working closely with the global content and marketing teams to create video content that supports our objectives and packs a creative punch.
From social video assets, to case studies and client requests, this will be a multifaceted role that will give you exposure to the full global organisation and will immerse you right into the heart of our business.
The Ideal Candidate
We’d like you to ideally have a Bachelor’s degree in Film, Visual Design, Graphics, Animation (or related field) and/or 3+ years of applicable experience. All candidates must present a portfolio of work to support the breadth of their knowledge/skills.
— a solid foundation in typography, layout and design;
— strong problem-solving skills;
— experience with transitions, animation, motion design and dynamic interaction;
— excellent visual, written and verbal communication skills;
— strong file organization skills;
— the ability to prioritize multiple tasks/projects, communicate progress, effectively managing timelines and meet deadlines;
— the ability to effectively take direction and work both collaboratively and autonomously;
— a native (or extremely fluent) comprehension of English language, to ensure natural sentence structure, flow and conversation cadence in videos and podcasts.
Mid-level working knowledge of these design programs & tasks:
— creating and updating graphic templates in Photoshop;
— basic image manipulation in Photoshop;
— basic layout design in Photoshop and InDesign;
— working with vector graphics in Adobe Illustrator;
— helping design and/or update PowerPoint decks.

We need someone with really strong video editing skills, mid-to-high level audio editing skills, as well as a critical eye for design and content flow. We’ll want you to be experimental, to suggest new ideas and to help us apply best practice to our content. Here’s what you’ll need from a technical perspective:
— Adobe Premiere Pro;
— Adobe After Effects;
— Adobe Photoshop;
— Adobe Audition;
— Adobe Media Encoder;
— MS PowerPoint;
— bonus: Cinema4D, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign.
— video editing and production of various video types, including social marketing videos, presentation videos, internal and external videos for Valtech;
— motion graphics and animation;
— sound and basic music mixing for videos;
— ability to work within Valtech brand guidelines to create assets that reinforce and support brand style and voice;
— ability to source branded images, stock photos and video footage as needed;
— will need to help manage and upload video and visual assets to company DAM + Vimeo.
