Magento - Practice Lead

In your role as a Magento - Practice Lead, you make the impact we have on our customers measurable. You work for leading brands within the Valtech Digital commerce practice and feel at home in a challenging, international environment in which you collaborate with other experts and support them.

What you do

A seasoned professional with 12-16 years of industry experience with a spread of 5+ years of managing or leading a commerce practice, and at least 2+years of Magento as a practice.

Experience – Essential

  • Experience in Magento: Product capabilities, business models, technical architecture
  • Experience incompetency and capacity building
  • Experience in program management based on MVP, Agile methodologies, DevOps
  • Experience in stakeholder management, account management
  • Preparation of concise and sharp report on periodic progress
  • Experience in pre-sales

Experience – Desirable

  • Experience in digital marketing and Adobe AEM
  • Experience is one or more business sectors: retail, manufacturing, distribution


  • Preferably an engineering graduate

Skill and knowledge

  • Presentation preparation and review
  • Contractual documentation preparation and review
  • Tools such as Jira, Confluence, Excel

  • Incubate and build Magento Practice at India offices leveraging Valtech’s digital commerce capabilities and Adobe partnership worldwide
  • Build practice that is self-sustained for core areas of the practice
  • Align practice growth for Valtech business model, revenue, and scaling needs
  • Accountable and responsible for delivery of solutions and services
  • Overall responsible for the quality, timeline, and customer satisfaction

Magento Competency

  • Plan and execute skill development: architect / technical leader, developers, and BA/QA
  • Manage talent allocation and utilization
  • Constantly align Practice skills with market trends and needs
  • Train, coach, and mentor of the Practice

Pre-sales support

  • Help build related sales and marketing materials
  • Help in qualifying the leads
  • Owner of the technical solution, execution model, estimates in proposals / RFP responses
  • Assist sales staff in lead generation, campaigns, and marketing in the APAC region


  • Build and enhance partnership with other Practices in India and other Valtech countries
  • Build and enhance partnership with Adobe for Magento in APAC region
  • Contribute to related Valtech Craft Circles

Revenue Generation

  • Responsible for revenue generation and annual revenue generation will be one of the performance measurement criteria

Account Farming

  • Responsible for post-sales account mining/farming by collaborating with Engagement Managers and delivery teams

Others Business travel as required to the target markets
