Most “big-bang-all-in” digital transformations don't work. Many companies are not equipped to adapt to significant and unexpected global market changes (like pandemics). Furthermore, employees are often not afforded the autonomy to improvise when variables like a pandemic occur. Executives are banking on conservative, seemingly dependable revenues and are betting upon small innovations because they provide tangible payouts. Companies can thrive in insecure markets if they are prepared to plan for and expect change.
