Hydro-Québec is a public utility that manages the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity in Quebec, Canada.
Evolving Digital Presence
In a context of decentralization of content and heterogeneity of a digital offer for different customers (business customers, residential customers, suppliers, candidates, etc.), Hydro-Québec has mandated Valtech to help it to evolve its digital presence. Our mandate was to improve corporate services, to structure clear information and finally to emphasize the company's point of view and improve its brand image and its notoriety.
After defining the business needs, the team first worked on a detailed information architecture for each of the sites targeted by the redesign supported by a grid analysis of existing contents:
- Corporate section
- Municipal Affairs specialized sites
- Hall of news
- Sustainable development
- Investor relations
- Electrification of transport
- Visit of facilities site
- New generation counters site etc.
Second, wire models and templates were produced, accompanied by a visual charter and variations graphics per site. Third, the team devoted itself to multiplatform integration, at the entrance of content and quality control in accordance with the standards SGQRI. This redesign also included user testing in the laboratory and the creation of interactive and multiplatform prototypes (tablet, desktop, phone).
