Transforming the Financial Services Industry with an Agile Methodology
Agile transformation is not a new topic for the financial services industry. On the one hand, there are the over 300 challengers and neobanks that have been founded all over the world in the last 10 years. These challengers are much more inspired by the ways of working in Silicon Valley than by traditional banks. Then there are the incumbents that are often engaged in classic ways of working and locked into legacy systems built at the beginning of the digital age.
Some of the incumbents have engaged in agile ways of working over the last couple of years. However, they mainly engaged in humble baby steps and only very few really scaled their efforts throughout the whole organization.
