National Eldery Fund
The National Fund for the Elderly focuses on the well-being of vulnerable, elderly people. The fight against loneliness is a central topic. With their services and activities, The National Fund for the Eldery wants to promote social contacts and ensure that the elderly remain independent for a little longer. In this way, they try to create a happier old age for many elderly people.
Examples of these activities are the "BoodschappenPlusBus" - which allows eldery people to do their own groceries, possibly with each other and under supervision. The Home Administration, which helps eldery people to get their administration in order, and ofcourse the annual Christmas dinners and Summer trips.
Voedselbank
More than one million people live below the poverty line in the Netherlands. The Voedselbank helps those who are really struggling financially by temporarily providing them with food aid. In order to provide their customers with sufficient food, they work together with companies, institutions, municipalities and individuals. Together they make sure that poverty is fought, food surpluses disappear and the environment is less burdened. To increase their clients' self-reliance, they work together with local organizations that help our clients to get back on their feet. After all, food aid must always be temporary.
National Child Aid Fund
1 out of 9 children in our country grow up in poverty and feel excluded. Child Aid is there for them, even when they have nowhere else to go.
The National Child Aid Fund helps children in poverty in the Netherlands with swimming lessons, a day out, a bicycle, materials for an education or a Christmas gift. This is done by the support of its donors, companies and volunteers. Parents cannot apply for help themselves, this is done by professional aid workers.
