Boels Rental chooses Valtech to co-develop a new SAP Commerce Cloud platform

Equipment rental company Boels Rental has chosen Valtech, the global digital agency, as its partner to develop an ambitious SAP Commerce Cloud platform to be delivered in phases over the next few years.

The decision to opt for Valtech followed a thorough selection process. Bjørn Kreijen, Director of Digital Solutions at Boels Rental, was involved in the project from the start: “After an intensive selection, we chose Valtech because they have a hands-on mentality in addition to the right knowledge and experience. This mindset fits well with Boels.”

The focus for the platform is to meet the digital wishes of Boels Rental’s large business, small business and private customers. For example, the platform will include a central product database, offer online insight into contracts and invoices and support digital transactions. All this will make hiring from Boels Rental even easier and more accessible.

Valtech and Boels Rental will work together in multidisciplinary teams to set up the SAP Commerce Cloud platform (formerly SAP Hybris), and Valtech is hugely enthusiastic about the collaboration: “We are very happy to have won Boels' confidence for this challenging project. The new portal must become an international one-stop shop for the company’s extensive product portfolio, serving customers in the construction and industrial sectors as well as others,” said Bart van Vuuren, Account Director at Valtech. The first experiences to flow from the collaboration will launch in the course of 2020, on Boels.nl.
