Arnoud Martens is no stranger to Valtech or the leadership role, having previously been part of Valtech for 8 years as Managing Director as well as Group Director for Europe, until he decided to explore life beyond Valtech in 2019. In this period both Martens and Valtech have grown and developed in many ways, making the current timing to step back to the Valtech leadership team just right:
“During my years away from Valtech I’ve been watching on the side lines how Valtech has truly transformed from a digital agency to the global business transformation partner it is today. The perspectives I’ve gained while away from Valtech, completely align with the journey Valtech has been on. I’m very excited to become an active part of the continuous journey we’re on, to bring in my knowledge, leadership, and active network in and outside of Valtech to enable the transformation of local and global clients and delivering innovative experiences,” says Arnoud Martens, new Managing Director, Valtech Netherlands.
Enablers of growth
With numerous recent acquisitions and a robust growth trajectory, Valtech has focused on a continuous bolstering of its end-to-end capabilities as a global business transformation partner. In the Netherlands this is not only manifested in the growth of the business and the recent acquisition of Dutch digital B2B commerce powerhouse, Evident, but also with the formation of a regional leadership team focused on Salesforce solutions based in the Netherlands, under the leadership of Eric Verhage.
As Valtech continues to focus on regional and global collaboration, Arnoud will oversee growth operations in the Netherlands, but will also become part of Valtech’s broader global strategy and ambitions as he steps into the leadership team. “We are very excited to have Arnoud come back to the Valtech family,” says David Gompel, Executive Vice President, and Regional Manager for Valtech Europe. “Arnoud’s understanding of where we have been, but also his shared ambitions for where we are going is an amazing addition to Valtech in the Netherlands and in Europe. His international perspective and strong leadership capabilities will be key through our next growth chapter”.
What’s special about the Dutch market
While the regional and global perspective is a driving force behind its growth, the local nuances to both market conditions but also Valtech’s own positioning, makes the Dutch operations notably important to Valtech: “Valtech Netherlands has a unique position in the market as one of the leading agencies, partnering with large global clients across their business transformation needs. It is a key market for Valtech as it combines large, global companies amid their business transformation, not least in the consumer, B2B and financial services sectors, with a strong and international talent base,” David Gompel concludes.
Valtech has been operating in the Netherlands for over 22 years and is recognised as one of the leading agencies in the country. It offers end-to-end support, from transformation consulting to engineering, delivery at scale, data and marketing transformation services for clients including Boels, Philips, Pon, Signify and Wavin among others. The company has close to 300 employees in the Netherlands spread across its four local offices in Utrecht, Amsterdam, Amersfoort, and Eindhoven and more than 5,000 experts on a global scale. With combined global and local expertise, Valtech partners with leading global companies undertaking large transformation programs enabled by digital technology.
