Global leader in interactive whiteboards, SMART Technologies develops integrated solutions to foster collaboration and facilitate learning with digital resources. As part of the redesign of 8 EMEA sites, the group wanted to build on a common platform to develop the brand in each market by offering a more fluid and intuitive user experience. Indeed, the sites must be able to speak to target customers in two distinct business segments, with the aim of helping visitors to easily locate information on the company and its products, as well as the closest retailer. The challenge of such a project? Unify the online presence of the brand in EMEA and remain consistent with the positioning and products while adapting to local markets.
Valtech has worked with SMART Technologies to support its full service needs: from the development of
specifications, design and user experience, to the phases of development, testing and deployment of the platform’s multilingual versions. For Valtech, the aim was not only to develop the new EMEA platform in anticipation of its integration on the initial Sitecore site, but also to design new layouts, features and services and to implement them.
Exemplary collaboration in agile mode
A fundamental rule lays in the DNA of SMART Technologies: free users from their offices and their computer screens, and encourage collaboration for more fun, productivity and lower costs.
This leitmotiv is therefore at the heart of the project that linked SMART Technologies to the marketing technology agency Valtech for several months: the teams have worked together on all the elements of the project to define the pre-requisites of the solution. “Three teams based on three sites, worked for the same ambition: to homogenize the digital image of SMART Technologies throughout the EMEA zone. A real challenge that was successfully met!”, says Lubomira Rochet, CEO of Valtech France.
Totally delivered in Agile mode, with the active participation of SMART Technologies, the project has been deployed in time and on budget. “In less than four months, the project was finalized. Without delay, within budget, and with a very low number of bugs,” adds Geoffroy Robin, Digital Marketing Manager at SMART Technologies.
