August 25, 2020

L’Oréal WSF won the E-Commerce Site Optimization Brand Experience Award (BEA)

Paris, France, August 2020 - L’Oréal WSF has won the Brand Experience Award (BEA) for E-Commerce Site Optimization.

Presented by RetailX and Retail TouchPoints starting this year, “the BEA were created to spotlight the businesses that are redefining the rules of interaction, engagement and loyalty.” L’Oréal was selected out of more than 90 nominees to receive the award.

Behind L’Oréal’s award-winning is its business transformation partner Valtech, and a talented team continuously improving to offer the best brand experiences possible. This recognition highlights the excellence in execution of L’Oréal’s “website factory,” built on Sitecore, which encompasses first reusable web templates, components, processes and integrations to create and deploy brand websites at incredible speed.

This configuration allows enough time to build a unique user experience, contextual to the specific market, that is personalized and tailored to the needs of the consumers at scale in 60 countries across Europe, the Americas and APAC. L’Oréal has over 400 websites on a single platform and continuously expands it based on collective learnings to keep customers engaged over time.

L’Oréal succeeded in scaling its solution globally without losing brand specificity. With digital becoming more important than ever, brands must partner with the right experts to deliver consistent, personalized user experiences.

This award pays tribute to the success of the close collaboration between L’Oréal and Valtech teams. It reflects our ability as partners to manage on a global scale with local specificity for different stakeholders. I’d like to thank my team, the brands who accepted the bet and dared to invent the new rules of the game with us and our consumers who visit our websites around the world, use our services and forge the ties with our brands – Anne Guichard, General Manager for the website factory, L’Oréal.

The WSF program is truly anchored in new ways of working with agile product management, continuous improvement and end-to-end accountability or build, run, enhance.

Valtech’s Global Project Managing Director Suzanne Schröder said, Working on this program since 2016 has been both challenging and rewarding. At our peak, we had approximately 150 people working together across three zones: EMEA, APAC and US, with more than 10 teams in separate locations employing the same ways of working for better efficiency alongside L’Oréal‘s stakeholders. It’s quite impressive what Valtech accomplished. I am incredibly proud of our success and owe it to the great collaboration between the CDO team and our Valtech employees working truly as ONE.
