Our long-standing work with this global “north star” of academic medicine began long ago, but shifted into high gear when we designed the organizations multi award-winning health information site, a destination that immediately became one of the most highly trafficked sites for reliable COVID information from the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.  
 
Designed and developed on a leading DXP to create a more public-facing persona for an institution known for its exceptional scientific innovation and quality, the site quickly became a primary source of conversions for this large hospital system, as well as an amplifier of reputation and a source of personalized experiences for visitors, transforming patient and public perceptions of the organization.  
 
Focusing on usability, automation, content strategy, plain language and colloquial categorization, and ultimate experience flexibility, the core of the site became the framework for a much larger effort by Valtech to transform this large academic medical system’s expansive digital ecosystem. 

Best “Path to Purchase” for the Patients of an Expansive National Health System

Operating in four U.S. states and three South American countries, this long time Valtech client faced the complex challenges of a diverse, geographically spread rapidly evolving combined healthcare delivery network and health insurer. Working with the organization for more than 10 years, developing three versions of it ecosystem on a leading DXP platform, the most recent surpassed, all expectations for improved metrics, as well as as receiving Gartner’s Smart Hospital report number one placement for “path to purchase.” Combining careful strategy, data-driven user experience, and digital transformation through complex integrations with backend systems, this award-winning ecosystem was the culmination of years of business-driven transformation with this excellent organization.

Dramatic Impacts from Elevated HCP Experience

For a large southern US health system, we provided a full experience and technology overhaul that led to some astounding quantifiable gains: In the year after launch big changes—driving an additional +20,000 patients through newly redesigned online transactions, 65% more organic traffic, 70% more overall traffic, and 75% more capture from that expanded traffic. As with all our work in consumer healthcare a detailed understanding of user behavior, geographically specific business drivers, and getting full value from leading platforms was key. For the people in the region covered by this organization, it was a dramatic improvement in experience and opportunity for better healthcare access.
